The Carpathian Convention in Poland

The Republic of Poland ratified the Framework Convention on the Protection and Sustainable Development of the Carpathians (Carpathian Convention) on 27 February 2006.

The Convention entered into force for Poland on 19 June 2006.

Following the publication in the Journal of Laws of the Republic of Poland on 31 May 2007 (Dz.U. 2007, vol. 96, item 634) the Carpathian Convention has become part of the Polish national legal system, in accordance with art. 91 sec. 1. of the Constitution.

The binding force of the Framework Convention was additionally confirmed by the Government Statement of 12 March 2007 (published in Dz.U. 2007, vol. 96, item 635).
