Carpathian thematic Working Groups active under the „Carpathians Unite” project

Four thematic “Carpathian Working Groups” composed of Polish experts and local stakeholders, and operating at the national level, were established and active under the “Carpathians Unite” project between 2012 and 2016:

• Carpathian Working Group on sustainable tourism (which contributed to the development of “The Strategy for the sustainable development of tourism in the Magical Land of Lemko and Pogorzanie” (available online in the Polish language version);
• Carpathian Working Group on spatial planning (which elaborated “the Code of Good Practice in Shaping the Carpathian Space”);
• Carpathian Working Group on cultural heritage (which contributed to the first draft of the proposed Protocol on cultural heritage to the Framework Carpathian Convention);
• Carpathian Working Group on biological and landscape diversity (which contributed to the draft National Action Plan for the implementation of the “Biodiversity Protocol” in Poland).
